You Need To End Procrastination Now
How many times have you realized that you need to end procrastination now? Well I had to finally admit to myself that all procrastination did was get me in trouble. Yes, I proclaimed myself as a chronic procrastinator. Doing that was one of the hardest things to admit.

In fact, I would put myself into procrastination anxiety! Projects that never were completed, or what was worse were the projects I never started. I even broke promises to my friends and family by not doing what I swore I would do.

One day I just said "this procrastinating has to end here and now"!

No, it wasn't that easy because I had a lot of projects to finish. It's much easier to put things off than just to get them done.

So just how do we break this habitual creature that lives inside of all of us? Let me give you some constructive tips that helped me get the job done and quit procrastinating.
Why Do You Procrastinate?
What Causes You To Keep Putting Things Off?
Some people won't even take the steps to find out how to end procrastination and some will. For those who have taken the first step of curing procrastination, congratulations. You are among the people who are looking for a change and will take the chance of being successful. The quality of life you have verses the quality of life you want when you stop procrastinatinis as different as night and day.

The hardest part of ending procrastination is just getting started. Whether it be fear of failure or just not liking the project you have to do. To a procrastinator things can always be put off until tomorrow.

"The group Procrastinators Anonymous always tried to have a meeting . . . but kept putting it off."

Alright, maybe that wasn't that funny, but I thought it was cute. We are guilty of putting things off or procrastinating from time to time. We do it even though we know it is unproductive and going to cause problems down the road. So, what is it going to take to convince you to put a halt to all this procrastination and get motivated? How much do you want to stop being a procrastinator?
How To End Procrastination Now With Baby Steps
Don't Bite Off More Than You Can Chew
The key elements to be motivated and knowing how to end procrastination now and just quit procrastinating are focus and determination. The road can be tough going if you let it. So take it slow and easy. Soon you will be in a mindset that procrastinating does not live in any longer.

Focus on what it is that you have been putting off. You certainly don't procrastinate about everything you do in a day. That would just be silly.

1. Make a list: list the things that you would like to get done that day and/or very soon. Don't generalize, be specific. Don't just put "clean house" or "turn garage into workshop". Break it down and be more specific. Those smaller tasks on your list will look more appealing than the scary "remodel kitchen".

2. Number them according to priority: sometimes there is a 'flow' to a list of items which need to be done. For example, you would want to clean your gutters out before you mow the yard.
That way you won't be cleaning the yard twice. Might as well 'work smart'.

3. Do the list: does the phase "Just Do It" ring any bells? Stop thinking about it and just do it. The longer you think about even the smallest task at hand, the more that you will procrastinate or make up excuses as to why you shouldn't do it. Why put yourself through thinking about it when you can just have it done?

4. Be determined to complete everything on your list in the time frame you have constructed. Focus and determination will allow you to accomplish anything.

5. Reward yourself: if the satisfaction of completing the items on your list isn't enough for you, then go ahead and reward yourself. A fancy coffee, an hour of uninterrupted television, or surf the internet for a short while.

OH MY GOSH! This actually works!!
Stop Procrastinating For A Lifetime
Be A "Now" Person Today, Forever!
The above and below tips are intended to increase your awareness of youprocrastination problems. They will, in fact, make it easier for you to end some of the procrastination tenancies you may experience.

If you define yourself as a "chronic procrastinator" then chances are slim that these steps to reduce youprocrastination will have any impact. But don't worry or give up on yourself. There is something that does work.

Because you tend to procrastinate without even thinking about it means that it is lodged in your sub-conscious mind. The sure way of retraining your mind is through self-hypnosis. It is completely safe and is a way change your way of thinking.
